As we have done with each of our girls, we formally dedicated Hava to the Lord during the church service on February 28, 2010. We take seriously our "job" from God to raise Hava to know, love, honor and worship Him. We appreciate all prayers in helping us achieve this goal, not only with Hava, but with all our children.

This beautiful gown was made by a very dear friend, Dorcas Chupp.

Martha & Jaina are Two!

We celebrated Martha's and Jaina's second birthdays on Feb. 28th with family and friends. A good time was had by all!

They received matching dresses from Papa and Nana Carmichael. They love these dresses and wear them whenever they are clean!

They received new water cups from Papa & Nana Smith and here Jaina is sharing with Martha!

They had fun playing in the gift bag one of their presents came in!

Crashed Computer

Our computer crashed on Friday evening. I was going to post recent pictures and pictures from Martha's and Jaina's birthday on Saturday. The computer is at a friend's and he is seeing if he can fix it. Please join with us in prayer that it can be fixed and we don't lose any of the pictures and/or documents that we need. I haven't backed up the pictures since Hava has been born because of being busy so I really hope we can at least save those.

I will try to post pictures as soon as I get the computer back!

There's No Place Like Home

I found this very funny/interesting blog entry about home birth and just had to share it. It definitely is very true and accurate way to view it.

Team Captains

Chad and Darcy met in May 1997. They became engaged on Nov. 28, 1997 and married October 17, 1998. They lived in Ferrysburg, MI while Darcy finished college and then moved north when Darcy was offered a teaching job. Dara was born in July 2000 and Eva in April 2002. When they found out they were pregnant with Allyn, Darcy decided to stay home from teaching. Allyn was born in Nov. 2003, Sabra in March 2005, Cora in Sept. 2006, Martha & Jaina were born on Feb. 25, 2008, and the latest team member, Hava, was born on New Year's Eve 2009. Tissa joined the team with an express entrance on May 5, 2011.

I Can!

This verse has been one of "my" verses for over ten years. I have learned that no matter what life throws at me, I can survive when I lean on Christ and His strength. God will never give us more than we can handle when we rely on Him to get us through. No matter how hard life seems at times, we must remember that what is happening is happening for a reason and He will guide us through and if we lean on Him, not only will we survive, but we will grow closer to Him.
